Anne Marion-Bouchacourt appointed Chair of the Board of Directors of Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland

Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland announces the appointment of Anne Marion-Bouchacourt as Chair of the Board of Directors of Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland (SGPBS) as of 6 February 2019.

Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland announces the appointment of Anne Marion-Bouchacourt as Chair of the Board of Directors of Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland (SGPBS) as of 6 February 2019.

She replaces Yves Thieffry who is retiring. The Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of SGPBS would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Thieffry for his six years of service to Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland and his 35-year career within the Group.

Anne Marion-Bouchacourt takes on this responsibility in addition to her current roles of Group Country Head for Switzerland and CEO of SG Zurich1.

Biographies

Anne Marion-Bouchacourt was appointed Chair of the Board of Directors of Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland in February 2019. She also acts as Group Country Head for Switzerland and CEO of SG Zurich1 - roles she has held since 1 October 2018. She is a member of the Group Management Committee.
Anne Marion-Bouchacourt was Group Chief Country Officer for China since July 2012. She was previously Head of Group Human Resources, a position she held since 2006. Anne Marion-Bouchacourt joined Societe Generale in 2004 as Head of Human Resources for Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking. Anne Marion-Bouchacourt started her career as an auditor and then a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC). In 1990 she was appointed Director in PWC’s Financial Services sector. In 1999 she joined Gemini Consulting Financial Institutions Practice as Vice-President and in 2002 she became Vice-President and Head of the Banking practice with Solving International. She also holds several Non Executive Director and Director positions. Anne Marion-Bouchacourt graduated from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, is a Chartered accountant and holds a Master's degree in Financial Management on Capital Markets from Paris-Dauphine University.

 Yves Thieffry joined the Societe Generale Group Inspection Services team in 1982. In 1992, he became Deputy Head of Operations for Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking. 
He was named CEO of Banco Supervielle SG in Argentina in 1995 and CEO of Societe Generale Madrid in 1998. Following his appointment to the role of HR Director of Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking in 2002, he was named Head of Support Services in 2003.
In 2007, he took up the position of Deputy CEO of Societe Generale Private Banking. In 2011, Yves Thieffry became a member of the Executive Committee of Societe Generale Private Banking overseeing operations in Luxembourg, Switzerland, Monaco and the Middle East. In 2012, he became CEO of Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland.
In March 2016, Yves Thieffry was named Chair of the Board of Directors of Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland.
Yves Thieffry is a graduate of the Sorbonne University in Paris.
