Collector and editor of Cahiers d’Art
Born in Stockolm, Staffan Ahrenberg grew up near Vevey, where his family established in 1962. He was exposed to art at a very young age and met many artists through his father Theodor Ahrenberg, one of the most important collectors of Modern Art of his time, also friend and patron of numerous major artists of the XXth century such as Matisse, Picasso, Chagall, Tinguely, Le Corbusier, or Tadeusz Kantor. In the 80s, Staffan moved to Los Angeles to be a film producer. Back in Europe years later, Staffan Ahrenberg took over Cahiers d’Art in 2011 to bring the spirit of this legendary art publishing house back to life and revive the magazine of the same name by including modern and contemporary artists.
